Hyundai Previews Its Luxurious Vision G Coupe Concept

Hyundai has steadily built up a reputation for manufacturing both reliable and affordable cars over the years, and despite its best efforts it hasn’t quite managed to break into the upper echelon of the market. The Korean car manufacturer has released the first images of the Vision G Coupe, a premium concept model that was described as “Hyundai’s inspiration for its family of future premium products that promise luxury, performance and style with the value and responsibility that is the foundation of Hyundai’s brand.” Boasting a 5.0-liter Tau V8 engine with 420 horsepower, the car’s exterior doesn’t scream opulence but features an understated slingshot-like appearance, with the innovative, self-opening “valet door” being the highlight of the design. Touches of wood, gold and luxurious leather are seen in the first look at the interior. You can check it out in person at the 2015 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, but otherwise stay tuned for more details.
