East London's Skate Scene Captured in Black and White Portraits

A subculture chronicled.

Ian Kenneth Bird’s photo series, “Skaters,” captures the talent, angst and overflowing youthful exuberance of East London’s burgeoning skateboard community. Through classically composed monochrome portraiture the photographer, who you can follow on Instagram here, documents a subculture over the course of a year.
