Kiriko 2015 Summer Collection
Re-engineering traditional Japanese attire with modern, Americana riffs.

While its tenure began with the release of small, limited-edition accessories, Japan-via-Portland label Kiriko has since extended its foray into full seasonal collections. Kirko’s Japanese-inspired designs are elevated with modern craftsmanship, and its Summer 2015 collection is another fine example of the fledgling label’s stylish perspective. Re-engineered classic Americana threads — think selvage denim and dyed chambray — are paired with traditional patterns such as floral and navy waves in various patchwork-heavy designs. Button-down kimonos and kendo gear are styled with a vintage U.S. military jacket, while vintage sporting headwear provide a decided street-ready look elsewhere.
