This Man Owns Two '64 Chevrolet Impalas and Restored Them Himself
A lifelong obsession in restoring these cars.
Don Rogers has two 1964 Chevrolet Impalas in his garage, both of which he had restored completely on his own. His passion for vintage cars often finds him stuck in the garage for hours a day, immersed in the project. With both a convertible and a hardtop, Rogers’ work was cut out for him, but left room for many improvements and tweaks. He’s included air ride suspension, hop up parts and more. But after spending months on the vehicles, Rogers isn’t worried about taking them out on the streets, saying “I’d much rather drive around a car that I’ve completely built with my own two hands, part of the fun, [is] taking it out and thrashing it. My theory is: I made it the first time, I can do it again!”
