This Clock Makes You Solve Math Equations for the Time
If you thought telling the time was getting a bit too boring.
A surprising number of people already find it difficult enough to read the time on an analog watch, but this Kickstarter project has gone several steps further. Called the Albert Clock, designers Axel Schindlbeck and Fred Mauclere of design studio MNTNT have created a clock that displays math equations that must be solved to know the current time. Borne out of the common experience of staring at the clock in boredom during class, the Albert Clock instead turns the normally passive process of telling the time into a mentally stimulating challenge, allowing the user to adjust the difficulty level as they progress. The clock features a handmade exterior with high quality matte lacquer, a redesigned alphanumeric display for readability, and a hand-scribed circuit board, and is expected to fetch a retail price of $270 USD. Already invited to exhibit at the 2015 Milan Furniture Fair, check out the Albert Clock’s Kickstarter project in its last week of funding by clicking here.
