The New Apple TV Is Set for a September Release
A significant overhaul of its 2012 predecessor.

According to a new report on Buzzfeed, the long-awaited update to the Apple TV will finally be unveiled next month, at the fall event where the Cupertino giant usually rolls out its new iPhone range. Decked out with Apple’s A8 system, an improved remote control complete with a touch pad, increased on-board storage, Siri-controlled operating system, and a brand new App store of its own, the next generation device will be a long-overdue revamp of the first model that was released back in 2012. This could significantly help Apple’s goal of launching a subscription-based internet TV service if the latest model proves to be a big hit. With Amazon Video starting to gain momentum and Netflix already an established force amongst on-demand Internet media providers, could this be Apple’s next big venture?
