OnePlus Unveils Its Latest Android Smartphone
The “Flagship Killer.”
After generating a tremendous amount of hype with the OnePlus 1 a little over a year ago, Chinese smartphone manufacturer OnePlus recently announced the launch of its latest Android smartphone via a VR live stream. Aptly named the OnePlus 2, the sleek device features an aluminum-magnesium alloy frame with stainless steel accents that wraps around a crystal-clear full HD 5.5” IPS LCD In-Cell display. Complete with a 64-bit Qualcomm® Snapdragon 810 SoC processor, the fastest on the market nonetheless, the 175 g smartphone has 64GB of storage for all of your apps, games and videos, while the 13 megapixel camera at the rear boasts six physical lenses. Additional improvements to the camera include a revolutionary Optical Image Stabilization system, and a rear-mounted laser technology that ensures the camera is in focus in a mere 0.33 milliseconds. A fingerprint scanner for increased security, wide range band support, and a range of elegant wood covers round out the latest model. Equally impressive in design and function, the 64GB OnePlus 2 is priced at $389 USD, and will be available for purchase starting mid-August. Head over to the company’s website for more information.
