Following a number of notable releases throughout the present year, Danish mainstay Norse Projects presents its latest menswear collection for the upcoming fall/winter season. As an extension to the aesthetic ideals for which have served well to establish the brand during its years in industry, the collection was shot by Faculty Department‘s Justin Chung and Copenhagen-based photographer Luke Norman in the workshop of Scandinavian design house, Fritz Hansen. The organic location serves well to highlight a selection of clean and considered looks compiled by Stephen Mann with each layer complimenting the next by collectively excluding excessive branding in true Norse fashion. Following a subdued color palette inspired by the late Danish painter Vilhelm Hammershøi, who’s use of architecture and nature within his work was rendered – much like that of the collection – in shades of dried olive, powder blue and ochre yellow. The lookbook’s monochromatic arrangements are elegant and finely detailed with full-zip cardigans sitting atop roll-neck sweaters and Japanese-inspired basket weave indigo dyed pieces helping summarize a mixture of themes. Norse Projects has done well to effectively combine a number of prominent stylistic influences without belittling the technicality and design prowess of each piece. The latest collection will be available as early as next week with more information available directly at the brand’s official website.
