NikeLab Roshe Cortez
Forrest Gump’s favorite kicks get the NikeLab treatment.
The original red, white and blue colorway of the Cortez is getting the NikeLab treatment, fusing with the ever-popular Roshe to create the latest Roshe hybrid: the aptly named Roshe Cortez. Combining the iconic lines of the retro runner with the modern comfort of the Roshe’s natural motion tooling, the design is a followup of sorts to Hiroshi Fujiwara’s Roshe LD-1000 SP design and seamlessly pairs the old school with the contemporary. The shoe even sees a dash of blue along its midsole as a nod to the dual-colored midsole of the original Cortez.
Complete with a nylon tongue, exposed padding and retro branding, the Roshe Cortez is due out this Thursday, June 18 at nike.com/nikelab and select NikeLab destinations worldwide.
