The most recent installments in the NBA 2K series have offered players an immersive experience that extends beyond gameplay, primarily by enlisting the musical genius of JAY Z and Pharrell to curate the game’s soundtrack. This year’s addition, NBA 2K16 will effectively build upon this foundation by boasting what is being described as a “cinematic narrative,” which has been directed by none other than Spike Lee. Speaking with Marco della Cava of USA Today, Lee introduced the story mode’s premise, stating, “We follow a kid through the trials and tribulations of being a top high school player and the decisions he has to make.” In addition to this Hollywood-esque endeavor, three of the NBA’s brightest superstars will be gracing the cover of NBA 2K16. Look out for the Warriors’ Stephen Curry, Rockets’ James Harden and Pelicans’ Anthony Davis on the front cover of the series’ upcoming edition.
