'Macbeth' Official Trailer Starring Michael Fassbender & Marion Cotillard

Those of you who have memories you’d rather not revisit of being forced to study Shakespeare’s Macbeth in high school may want to give the literary classic another chance after watching director Justin Kurzel’s modern filmic interpretation of the epic. Starring Michael Fassbender as the titular Macbeth and Marion Cotillard as Lady Macbeth, Kurzel offers a stylistically stunning take on the ambitious Scottish lord’s rise to the throne of Scotland, and his subsequent descent into madness as he embarks on a path of tyranny to keep his hold on power. Macbeth is slated to hit cinemas on October 2, but in the meantime, watch the trailer above.
