Janet Jackson Will Release Her First Album in 7 Years this Fall
Today, Billboard confirmed Janet Jackson will release a new album this fall via Rhythm Nation

Today, Billboard confirmed Janet Jackson will release a new album this fall via Rhythm Nation Records in partnership with BMG. A press release from her camp says:
“With Rhythm Nation, Janet Jackson becomes arguably the first female African-American recording artist to form her own record label.”
Exciting to have an album on her own label, yes, however, “arguably” indeed as Missy Elliot, Solange and Janelle Monae might be African-American females that have their own labels.
Regardless, the currently nameless project will be Miss Jackson’s first album since 2007’s Discipline. Peep the video for the official announcement from Janet herself.
