Have Ford and the Apple Watch Created the World's Safest Bicycle?
A bicycle so smart it will notify you of bad road conditions as well as calculate the effort needed to reach your desired location.

When paired with an Apple Watch, Ford’s latest concept bicycle has been designed to warn cyclists of upcoming road damage and potholes through a built-in vibration system. Based off the understanding of the damage such road conditions can do to cyclists including injury and in severe cases, death, the Ford MoDe:Flex smart bike aims to avoid such complications. Despite being a mere concept as of now, plans for realization are fairly advanced with the aim of assumably collecting data compiled by other cyclists in order to effectively scan surfaces ahead. The bicycle is also fitted with a battery that can be activated via a smartphone and calculate exactly how much physical work the user must put in to reach the desired location. Amongst such functionalities, the bicycle offers real-time weather updates, forthcoming traffic reports, and features an ergonomically designed frame that can be easily folded and packed down.
