Don Pendleton x Vans LXVI 2015 Summer Collection
The legendary skate artist teams up with Vans’ lifestyle imprint on a limited collection.
Revered skateboard artist Don Pendleton has teamed up with Vans’ LXVI division to create a range of custom footwear for the summer. Pendleton, largely acclaimed for his work in the visual identity of Alien Workshop during the 1990s, was given carte blanche on three Vans silhouettes: the Authentic, Sk8-Hi and lesser-seen Iso 2 Mid. Pendleton opted to unite two of the models under a grey and navy color palette, applying his signature oval vector animations to the sidewalls of both the Authentic and Sk8-Hi; the Iso 2 Mid receives a murdered-out treatment from collar to sole. These lightweight options will be available beginning in early July from select Vans LXVI stockists, including SNKRS.
