Band of Outsiders to Close SoHo Store

Following last Tuesday’s news that Band of Outsiders has cancelled its next collection, laid off the majority of its staff, and canceled all fall wholesale orders, more bad news has surfaced in that the brand’s SoHo store will be closing by the end of this month. Having just opened in September of last year, the brand posted a photo to Instagram with the caption “So, like, come and buy something. #70wooster, #sale, #nocomment.” WWD reports that most of the store merchandise is now up to 40% off, but this is part of an end-of-season sale that was planned since before the announcement of the store’s closing. The fate of the store’s popular Momofuku Milk Bar window is as yet unknown, but its loss, along with that of the store, will undoubtedly be mourned by Band of Outsiders fans as a whole.
