ASICS GEL-Respector OG "Aster Purple"
ASICS’ original successor to the GEL-Lyte III makes its return.

Originally released back in 1991 between 1990’s GEL-Lyte III and 1993’s GEL-Lyte V, ASICS’ GEL-Respector is making its triumphant return, complete with its OG colorway. Basically the GEL-Lyte IV — though not named as such because the number 4 is considered unlucky in Japanese culture as it’s sometimes pronounced shi, which is also the word for death — the Respector is a clean retro runner in the same vein as its popular brethren, in this case coupling a sleek upper of white mesh and grey synthetic overlays with a combination of black and purple accents throughout. Finished with gold underlays beneath the stripes, the OG version of the GEL-Respector is available now via afew and is set to hit additional ASICS stockists in the months ahead.
