adidas Originals 2015 Summer Superstar 80s Primeknit
The Superstar 80s vintage-favorite gets the Primeknit treatment for summertime.
Thus far, adidas has treated its hallmark silhouettes – the Stan Smith, the Tubular Runner and even the Palace-collaborated Pro – to the Primeknit treatment for the warm season, but the Superstar model has been curiously neglected. It seems as if fans of the shell-toe will finally receive a lightweight version of the iconic model, with adidas Originals offering retailers a first delivery of the Superstar 80s Primeknit. Here we find the sneaker done up in irresistibly vintage off-white through the outsole and trademark rubber toe, with the rest of the upper comprised of adidas’ proprietary recycled weave. The classic three-stripes are heat-printed onto the medial sides, offering a striking aesthetic for the minimalist shoe. Pick up this version of the Superstar 80’s Primeknit when it releases to adidas Originals retailers in August.
