When adidas’ game-changing BOOST technology first dropped back in 2013, the applications to skateboarding – what with the amount of impact involved – were immediately apparent. The German sportswear giant rolled out the first BOOST-based silhouette earlier this year with the ADV BOOST, and here follows up the drop by imbuing a former fan favorite with the energy-recycling technology. Accordingly, adidas Skateboarding presents the Dorado ADV BOOST: a soccer-inspired silhouette that truly represents the demands of modern skating. The upper is composed with one seamless piece of reinforced suede, which features reflective stripes at the sidewalls and a cleverly inset lacing system. These features rest atop a surprisingly slender ADV BOOST outsole, which is sculpted with anatomically-precise traction zones to keep feet comfortable. Finer skateshops such as Premier have received their shipment of this drop from adidas Skateboarding, which is nicely priced at $95 USD.
