A Closer Look at the NikeLab x Pigalle Dunk Lux

Somewhere between sportswear and high fashion exists Pigalle. The brand continues to streamline both aesthetics, revisiting its relationship with Nike to present its second collaboration. As a part of a larger collection that includes sport-twinged shorts, jerseys and hats, Nike has also taken the wraps off of the special collaborative-edition Dunk Lux crafted specially for Pigalle. The sneaker incorporates the speckled ‘shotclock’ print that runs through the apparel, which nicely translates into a concrete-looking print. “I like the idea that the shoes can be worn by a diverse crowd. It’s the perfect transition between on-court and off-court” says Ashpool of the silhouette, which has been retooled with plastic counters at the collar and paneled seams. Tastefully thin laces are bound together by a transparent lace lock over the tongue. The Nike x Pigalle Dunk Lux is set to release on June 27 at select NikeLab accounts including INVINCIBLE.
