Despite the recent feud caused over the naming of Young Thug‘s recent mixtape Barter 6, Thugga is looking to poke a little more at Lil Wayne by announcing that he plans to name his forthcoming mixtape Tha Carter V. Sitting down with NDO Radio, the Atlanta rapper revealed that he planned to drop another mixtape before the August release of his debut album Hy!£UN35. He comments “I’ma drop one more mixtape [before my album], I’ll probably name it Tha Carter V, ’cause the original Carter V still ain’t came out yet. I don’t know what the fuck they doing. So I’ma put that motherfucker out for ’em.”
As it is known, this will only add to the problems Lil Wayne is facing as he is currently dealing with a lawsuit with Birdman, therefore delaying the release of his 11th studio album Tha Carter V.
Alongside the mixtape info, Thug discussed his label situation mentioning that, even though they have developed a close relationship, he is in no way signed to Birdman’s Rich Gang management. Further iterating he says “I manage myself, I’m signed with Atlantic. I have a big, special deal with Atlantic, and it’s only Atlantic. Birdman is my homie.”
