Pro Era co-founder Powers Pleasant is linking up with Scion AV to release his debut solo project The Powers Pleasant Experience EP, and he has just shared the EP’s first official single. “Risk” unites Powers with Alex Phoenix, a talented NYC singer-songwriter. Most of Powers’ recognition up until this point has been a result of his role as one of the three artists responsible for the creation of the Pro Era collective, but he’s certainly coming into his own as a solo artist now. The sound and style showcased on “Risk” is progressive, eclectic and forward-thinking, proving that Powers is much more than just an affiliate of a popular, respected rap crew. You can listen to “Risk” above. The Powers Pleasant Experience EP will be available for streaming and download on June 9.
