JAY Z & Beyoncé Reportedly Posted Bail for Protestors
Apparently “within minutes.”

Previously working together on JAY Z‘s 2010 memoir Decoded, writer and activist Dream Hampton has reported that JAY Z and his wife Beyoncé have been financially supporting the Ferguson and Baltimore protesters as well as the “Black Lives Matter” movement which is working towards an improvement in police treatment towards African Americans. Via her twitter account, Hampton made a stream of tweets where one read “When we needed money for bail for Baltimore protesters, I… hit Jay up, as I had for Ferguson (and he) wired tens of thousands” of dollars within minutes.”
Following the now deleted tweets, although captured by Complex, Hampton later wrote that she deleted the tweets because the Brooklyn rapper ”would be pi-issed to see I was offering evidence” that showed they were actively involved in the campaign. The series of tweets came in defense of the couple where they had been previously singled out by some activists for having only paid lip service to causes without actually tapping into their estimated $1 billion net worth. On the contrary, the power couple have privately donated large sums of money and have supported the cause in many ways which are “too much too list.”
