Having recently released the 2016 edition of the 911 GT3 R, Porsche has announced a special “Black” series of the 911 Carrera and more affordable Boxster will be going on sale this month in Germany. As the name already suggests, the cars will be finished in sleek black body paint and complementary accents for the interior and headlights, while standard features such as the Porsche Communication Management central control system, Sport Design steering wheel, automatically dimming rear-view mirrors and rain sensors will also be part of the package. The iconic 911 Carrera will house an entry-level 3.4 litre V6 engine boasting 345 horsepower, while the more economical alternative Boxster is powered by a 2.7 litre V6 engine with 261 horsepower. Priced at €95,058 EUR (approximately $108,109 USD) and €59,477 EUR (approximately $67,643 USD), stay tuned for more information on the “Black” editions of the 911 Carrera and Boxster.
