Giorgio Moroder Shares New Tracks With Charli XCX and Mikky Ekko

With his new album Déjà Vu due out June 16, Giorgio Moroder gives fans a preview of what’s to come with two new releases, “Diamonds” which features Charli XCX; and “Don’t Let Go” which features Mikky Ekko. Charli first started writing “Diamonds” at the age of 16 or 17 while visiting Sweden, but wasn’t able to find a suitable sound until she recruited the help of Moroder. She tells Rolling Stone, “It was something I had worked on for my first record but couldn’t get quite right.” The track will now appear on the Italian producer’s forthcoming record, which also includes a slew of features in addition to Charli and Ekko, such as Britney Spears, Foxes, Kylie Minogue and Sia.
