Aston Martin takes its heritage seriously. With a loyal following for its classic models, most notably the iconic DB5, the British car manufacturer founded the Aston Martin Works restoration garage in Newport Pagnell, England with the express purpose to restore its past models back to their former, resplendent glory. Undergoing a meticulous, two-year-long restoration process — which only three cars will undergo this year — the classics will reemerge having been disassembled, welded, trimmed, hammered, reupholstered and buffed into the best versions of themselves. With a 2011 auction for a DB5 Sports Saloon having gone for £320,700 GBP (approximately $515,400 USD), there is no doubt about the adoration showered upon these classics by Aston Martin’s legions of admirers, as well as the restoration team.
