Behind the Design of adidas's Groundbreaking X15 Soccer Boot

The debut of the ACE15 and X15 represents adidas’s biggest football makeover to date, marking the end of its previous silos in favor of two contemporary designs. Here, adidas goes behind the scenes of the making of the X15 — one designed for “specialists in chaos” like Thomas Müller, Gareth Bale, Luis Suárez, Karim Benzema and Álvaro Morata. “The ultimate weapon for the game’s most dangerous players,” the X15 sees the likes of a TECHFIT collar for a compression fit around the ankle, an X-CLAW base for lightweight traction, an innovative and fragmented X-CAGE to offer lightweight support for the most agile movements, and a complex three-layer X-SKIN upper to deliver comfort, protection and performance in all conditions.

Look for the X15 to make its on-pitch debut at the UEFA Champions League Final between Barcelona and Juventus in Berlin on Saturday, June 6 before being made available to purchase July 1 at adidas.com and select retailers worldwide.
