Today, VFILES, the online fashion community with a SoHo brick and mortar launches their new program, VFILES LOUD! Having been built around supporting up and coming creatives, it’s seems like a natural move for them to start highlighting emerging musicians as well. The mission of the program is to offer a platform to new new artists with the winner getting a VFILES-directed music video that will be premiered on MTV, a party for the screening and their single released via Fools Gold Records.
Artists can submit their music at VFILES.COM/LOUD. The five genre categories are electronic, pop, rock, R&B and hip-hop. Each submission will be reviewed by a panel of industry experts including MTV’s deputy editorial director Richard Turley, senior director of music and talent programing at MTV, Yomi Desalu and A-Trak. They will not only be considering the actual material but will be basing their reviews on criteria like creativity and marketability.
Right now, there isn’t any end date listed on the site so get your submissions in early.
