After getting personal in a rather candid interview earlier this week, here we’re finally treated to a look at REVOK’s debut solo show in Los Angeles. Although once an LA resident, the notorious artist went on a self-imposed exile in the burgeoning art capital of Detroit, honing his fine art skills under the comparatively lax legal system in the Motor City. Here we find REVOK making a triumphant return, showcasing a series of beautifully complex geometrical works, using wood and vibrant gradients to create dazzling, psychedelic shapes in 2D and 3D. These pieces create a neat parallel to the artist’s past graffiti works, which themselves are revered for their trippy handstyle. Check out the works above and be sure to stop by the exhibition while it’s open between now and April 19.
