Freddie Gibbs is channeling Tupac in his latest video for the title track from his three-song, 2014 EP, Pronto. Nick Walker, who has done visuals for FKA twigs and DJ Mustard and brands like Converse and Stussy, directed the video. In it, Gibbs is in a bathtub surrounded my snakes, rather reminiscent of the David LaChapelle and Pac shoot. Interestingly, Gibbs told The Fader that they actually were inspired elsewhere, outside of rap.
“I wanted to approach making a video more so like a rock video than a rap video. Nick Walker helped me achieve that vision.”
