During Earl Sweatshirt‘s rise to fame, it’s no secret that the Los Angeles rapper and his mother didn’t see eye-to-eye on a number of matters, resulting in Earl’s departure to Samoa in 2010. Nonetheless, Earl holds high regards for his mom Cheryl Harris, dedicating his latest project Solace to her. Following from the release of his major-label debut LP I Don’t Like Shit, I Don’t Go Outside, Earl unveils the 10-minute project which he calls “music from when I hit the bottom and found something.” Aside from rapping about his mom, Earl also shares his thoughts on insomnia, drugs and missing his grandmother.
