Elusive French duo Daft Punk have recorded a tribute to legendary guitarist and composter Nile Rodgers to be included in a French documentary Nile Rodgers: From Disco to Daft Punk. The video shows the duo sending a message to Rodgers in typical, offbeat Daft Punk style using a computer to help relay their thoughts. Nile Rodgers is best known as a member of Chic, one of the most successful groups of the disco era, and in recent years has collaborated with huge names including Diana Ross, David Bowie, Duran Duran, Madonna, INXS, Avicii, Disclosure and Sam Smith. He also appeared on Daft Punk’s “Get Lucky” and “Lose Yourself To Dance” from the 2013 album Random Access Memories. The full documentary, which is mostly in French, can be viewed over at Arte.tv.
