Shlohmo - Beams

With less than a month left until Shlohmo is set to drop his sophomore album Dark Red, the WEDIDIT producer has shared another song off the LP. “Beams” will serve as the record’s conclusion, and comes to us today via a video for the number. It’s the second song off Dark Red to see release since the project was announced in late January, and the third song Shlohmo has unveiled since uniting with revered indie label True Panther. The Jack Irving-directed video for “Beams” is a less gruesome, morbid affair than its preceding Dark Red single, “Buried,” but the darker, melancholic aesthetic surrounding Dark Red, “Buried” and “Emerge From Smoke” remains. However, “Beams” is definitely a faster-paced, more vibrant offering from Shlohmo’s recent doom-and-gloom style. You can check out “Beams” above, while you can expect Dark Red to hit retailers on April 7.
