Former One Direction Member Zayn Malik Apparently Aspires to Rival Drake's Inspiration

Whether you’re a fan or not, you probably have heard about Zayn Malik‘s departure from boy band One Direction by now. So what are his next steps moving forward? Hollywood Life now reveals that Zayn might be starting a hip-hop-inspired solo music career, despite having shared that he had quit the group in search of being “a normal 22-year-old.” On top of hitting the studio with producer Naughty Boy, an anonymous source reveals: “Zayn has been listening to a lot of Drake — he’s always been a big fan,” and that he “won’t be disappointing fans by just rapping on his records.” The source also adds, “He’s hoping that some of [Drake's] magic will rub off on him, and he’ll be able to put together an album to rival his inspiration in the R&B charts.” If what is said is true, then this is definitely a very big goal.
