New York-based skate shop DQM joins forces with Vans once again in a collaborative offering for the 2015 spring season. The “Brownstones” collection draws inspiration from the iconic brownstone row houses of New York and the Northeast. The houses are an architectural element synonymous with the city, having been featured in countless films by directors like Woody Allen and Spike Lee among others. Drawing on the natural colors of Jurassic sandstone – red, grey and brown – the collection is comprised of both the Sk8-Hi 46 LX and Old Skool LX silhouettes. Constructed from a combination of premium leather, suede, nubuck and canvas, the shoes feature brass eyelets, water-resistant Scotchgard™ weather protection treatment, and a custom illustration printed on the insoles. The limited DQM x Vans “Brownstones” collection will be available for purchase in men’s and women’s sizes at the Vans DQM General Store in SoHo and the DQM webstore starting March 19.
