For those who prefer stealth to showboating, adidas’s new “Black Pack” boots have you covered. With the “Black Pack,” adidas diverges from the aggressively flamboyant aesthetic of the previously seen “Battle Pack” in favor of a more understated look. Each model in the “Black Pack” features an imposing all-black upper accented by subtle black graphics specific to each boot. The lightweight adizero f50 – weighing in at just 185g – has a tudor rose inspired by the old knights of England printed on its synthetic upper. For the newly redesigned Predator, a fleur-de-lis design proudly worn by French knights can be seen near the heel area, along with strategically placed rubber elements that provide the boot with its legendary control. The Nitrocharge harkens back to the renaissance with an Italian-inspired motif printed onto its upper, while the adipure 11pro goes back even further, using a print inspired by the Janissaries – an elite infantry unit from the Ottoman empire that originated in the 14th century. The medieval theme runs throughout the entire “Black Pack,” with each boot making a bold statement on the pitch, while still flying comfortably under the radar.
