Pam Pam has opened its doors as the first women’s-only sneaker store in the UK. Located in the Bethnal Green district of East London, the store stocks footwear from 10 of the leading brands including adidas, Reebok, Saucony and New Balance, in addition to a curated selection of apparel and accessories from brands like Edwin, Carhartt WIP, Penfield and Han Kjøbenhavn. Owners Bethany Heggarty and Rio Holland, who were previously managers at menswear independent Number Six, launched the store in order to capitalize on a growing demand for women’s sportswear, as “girls were always coming in [to Number Six] and asking for shoes in their size and there really wasn’t anything with such a premium offer [for women] in the UK.” The 1,500-square-foot space will hold yoga classes and various other workshops, while also planning to host women’s running and cycling groups. Check out the space above and let us know what you think in the comments below.
