Vince Staples‘ videos always provide a glimpse into the Long Beach-based world he grew up in and came out of. His latest for “Screen Door,” a standout song off 2014’s Hell Can Wait, is no different. Directed by Spike Jordan and C. Blacksmith, the visual for “Screen Door” finds Staples recollecting childhood memories and presenting LBC drug dealing with the same sort of stark, gritty realism that’s earned him praise as a writer. Fellow Cutthroat cohort and southern California-based rapper Aston Matthews makes a cameo at the end as well. You can watch the video for “Screen Door” above.
