Nifty and Casely-Hayford Team Up for Phone-Charging XOO Belt

If wearables are the future of tech, the XOO belt from Nifty might be the first glimpse of what’s to come. The belt, designed in collaboration with fashion house Casely-Hayford, features a series of flexible Lithium Ceramic Polymer battery for a total of 2,100mAh which is powerful enough to charge anything from your smartphone to your laptop (if you so desire). Thanks to the flexibility of this cutting-edge lithium, the batteries can be fully hidden inside the belt, keeping your hi-tech functionality as low-profile as possible. The charging cable stashes away neatly behind the buckle and stays in place with small magnets. Whenever you need a charge, simply flick the cable out and plug in your device; the cable is long enough to enable you to keep your phone in your pocket while charging. The belts themselves have been designed to look good as well, and come in a variety of styles. The primary line is made with premium full-grain tanned leather and swappable, understated buckles which feature five invisible LEDs to show you how much charge you have. Alternatively, you can step up to the Casely-Hayford collection made with drum-dyed vegetable-tanned Italian leather, precision stitching, and a choice of two high-end buckle styles. Either way, Nifty’s new belts look to be the start of futuristic wearables that could finally make wearing your tech look good. Check out the belts and pre-order your own at XOO’s website.
