Annie Mac to Take Over from Zane Lowe for BBC Radio 1

Yesterday it was reported that Zane Lowe was hired by Apple away from his 12-year career at BBC Radio 1. Irish DJ and television presenter Annie Mac is confirmed as new presenter of Radio 1’s weekday evening show. Ben Cooper, controller of the station and 1Xtra, shares: “Annie has proven she is a great ambassador for new music, and I’m delighted that she’s bringing her passion and knowledge to young audiences across the week.
