While the car manufacturer has yet to give any official statement on the fate of the model, it has been reported that the original 100 unit run has been sold out, exceeding the expectations of Mercedes-Benz. As such, production will be ended to sustain the exclusivity, and thus desirability, of the vehicle. However, with the newly unveiled G500 4×4², ardent fans will at least have something else to lust after.
