According to a report by The Wall Street Journal, Apple is looking to take on yet another segment of the tech market: the automotive industry. Seeking to go up against the likes of Google and Tesla, the Cupertino-based giant supposedly has hundreds of employees working on codename “Titan”: a compact minivan-like vehicle. While details of the project are virtually nonexistent, the design is likely to be an electric-drive vehicle and may even be driverless like Google’s self-driving concept. Furthermore, last year’s addition of Marc Newson to Jony Ive’s team means that the renowned industrial designer may be involved in in the project.
