Watch These Vintage F1 Race Cars on a Japanese Mountain Attack Course
Petrolhead heaven.
Japan’s Hakone Turnpike has the reputation within the country of being something akin to the world-renowned Nürburgring for all its extreme hairpins, paired with stunning alpine views and a smooth road surface not unlike the Fuji Speedway. Motorhead Magazine has taken advantage of this private toll road once before in its debut Motorhead Hakone Hill Climb event last year, and this year saw the second installment to the tune of vintage F1 race cars. If this weren’t a treat enough, a bevy of supercars followed the track machines up the touge, including the drifting Nissan GT-R and a Toyota GT86. Without further ado, experience the automotive ecstasy in the video above.
