'High-Rise' Official Teaser Trailer Starring Tom Hiddleston and Sienna Miller
A sinister look at an isolated, dystopian community obsessed with glamor and opulence.
Based on J.G. Ballard’s 1975 novel of the same name, High-Rise is a dark thriller set against the backdrop of a sumptuous high-rise community isolated from the rest of society. Following the story of a young doctor named Robert Laing (Tom Hiddleston) seduced by the glamor and opulence of the locale, the film illustrates the social complexities inherent in secluded environments. In the newly released teaser trailer for the film, a sinister and stylistic portrait of a dystopian community is produced in the style of an advertisement video to promote sales of units in the development. Tagged with the ominous line, “Ever wanted something more?” the first look hints at a dangerous division amongst the residents. Also intertwined in Laing’s life is the creator-architect of the high-rise Anthony Royal (Jeremy Irons), Royal’s devoted aide (Sienna Miller), and a discontent documentary filmmaker Richard Wilder (Luke Evans). As their relationships become increasingly complicated, discordance eventually surfaces and the formation of violent tribes becomes inevitable. Having already blown away audiences throughout the independent film festival circuit, evidenced by four nominations at the British Independent Film Awards, High-Rise is set for a UK theatrical release on March 18, 2016.
