New Sam Smith Track "Drowning Shadows" Is the Saddest Song He's Ever Written
Set to appear on a forthcoming special edition of his latest album, out November 6.

Sam Smith recently debuted his new song, “Drowning Shadows,” on Zane Lowe’s Beats 1 Radio show where he also announced that a special edition of his latest album, In the Lonely Hour, will drop on November 6. When the talk show host asked him what the track was about Smith divulged, “‘Drowning Shadows’ the song is the saddest song I’ve ever written and the least radio-friendly song I’ve ever written.” About meeting a crossroads and having to make a decision, the new track will appear in the forthcoming deluxe version of the album. The new edition will also feature a collection of covers and live versions of songs from the original album, and is available for pre-order on iTunes here.
