sacai x NikeLab 2015 Fall/Holiday Collection

NikeLab and Chitose Abe are back at it as the renowned sacai founder has used a foundation of warm, plush Nike fabrics to customize a collection of familiar classics for fall and the holidays. Like previous sacai x NikeLab drops, the latest collection explores both “texture and silhouette by applying new fabrics to a wider selection of sportswear archetypes.” This time around, everything from Tech Fleece and knits to wool and leather are used to craft a pleated take on the Destroyer, crewneck sweatshirts, a cape, and more. Said Abe of the release:

I want everyone to touch, feel and enjoy the collection… sacai’s vision is to take classic styles that are familiar to everyone, such as the cardigan, shirt or jacket, and play with the fabrics and silhouettes. We create a new interpretation of classic styles. I applied this same design philosophy to the NikeLab x sacai collection, expressing the style of Nike that everyone knows through sacai’s eye.

This fall’s sacai x NikeLab collection launches globally this Thursday, November 5 while the Holiday 2015 pieces will debut December 10.
