FES E-Paper Watch Will Make Its Debut This Month
Back to basics, with a modern twist.
Sony caused quite a lot of interest and excitement when it launched a crowdfunding initiative for the FES E-Paper watch almost a year ago. Since then the smartwatch market has become increasingly saturated with similar functions across a number of models, but the creators of this timepiece decided to take it down a notch by releasing a comparatively modest design. Featuring an E-paper display that extends to the strap, the FES watch allows the user to choose between a black or white watch face, the number of markers and a variety of strap designs ranging that mimic different materials. Priced at ¥29,700 JPY (approximately $242 USD), the FES E-Paper Watch will be available for purchase at select stores in Japan, including the MoMA Design Store in Tokyo.
