Meet Cobalt's $700K Valkyrie Personal Plane
The fastest private aircraft in its class, with a sleek design inspired by classic fighter jets.

San Francisco-based aircraft company Cobalt unveils its latest and most advanced project: the Co50 Valkyrie. Powered by a twin-turbo piston engine, it’s currently the fastest private aircraft in its class, clocking speeds of up to 260 knots (approximately 300 mph) and it can stay in the air for up to 1,050 nautical miles. In addition to performance, the plane is fitted with hand-stitched leather seats made by former Hermès craftsmen, a large canopy with sweeping 320 views, and an overall design inspired by classic fighter jets. The engine is located at the rear making rides smoother and quieter, while providing ample cargo space and seating for up to five people. While the $700,000 Valkyrie isn’t scheduled to deliver until summer 2017, pre-orders are available now via Cobalt’s website.
