Lexus Upgrades its RC Coupe Line with Turbocharged Engine and V6 AWD
The luxury automaker amps up its signature sports cars with two new models for 2016

Premium automaker Lexus has introduced two new models to its sport coupe RC line: the RC 200t and the RC 300 AWD. The RC 200t contains a 2.0 liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine which was first developed in-house by the automaker for the NX 200t model in 2015. It was later modified and implemented into the IS 200t and GS 200t versions. In addition to the 200t is the RC 300 AWD, which packs an impressive 3.5 liter V6 engine along with a six-speed automatic transmission. The standard RC 350 with its 306-horsepower will remain in the lineup for next year, with the option of the F-Sport package, which contains a 5.0-liter V-8 engine. Akin to the interior, the exterior of the RC series is impeccable, as the chassis draw inspiration from GS and IS models, backed up by Lexus’ high-rigidity body and fine-tuned suspension. Other notable features of the coupe include genuine Shimamoku wood trim, an intuitive touch control panel with smartphone-like gestures, a Mark Levinson premium audio system and advanced blind spot monitoring, which can detect cars approaching from the rear in adjacent lanes.
