'Race' Trailer for Olympic Legend Jesse Owens' Biopic
Tolerance and triumph amidst hate and tyranny.
Based on the incredible true story of Olympic legend, Jesse Owens, Race is a film that focuses not only on the track star’s journey to the world stage but also on the race-driven tribulations of the 1936 Olympics held in Hitler-run Berlin. The title of the film thus carries dual-meanings as Race delves into the complex issues of tolerance and triumph amidst an atmosphere of hate and tyranny. The film stars Stephan James (Selma) as Jesse Owens and costars Jason Sudeikis (Horrible Bosses), Jeremy Irons (The Borgias), William Hurt (A History of Violence), and Carice van Houten (Game of Thrones). Race will open in theaters on February 19, 2016. You can watch the full trailer above.
