Sharp Releases a Robot Smartphone That Nobody Asked For
For those who think Siri is nowhere near enough.
Japanese electronics giant Sharp has unveiled the RoBoHoN, an anthropomorphic smartphone robot that essentially acts as the physical embodiment of a voice assistant. Able to perform all the duties of a normal smartphone, such as setting alarms and reminders, taking photos and videos, etc., the robot also packs a projector in its head along with facial recognition technology, and boasts a seemingly high degree of automation, as well as the apparent ability to make you cry. While this seems like a concept product, Sharp promises that this very strange robot smartphone is due to hit the market in 2016.
